Getting art to press
What file format should I send?
A print-ready PDF is best: CMYK, 300dpi at final size, fonts embedded or outlined, 0.125in bleed on every edge. We also take AI, EPS, high-resolution PNG and JPG. If all you have is a logo from a website, send it anyway — we will tell you whether it can be enlarged or needs a $145 vector redraw.
What is bleed and do I have to add it?
Bleed is extra artwork past the trim line so a fraction of a millimetre of cutting drift never leaves a white sliver. Add 0.125in on all four sides if you can. If you cannot, upload the file as-is and prepress will extend the background or add a clean margin, then show you the change on a proof.
Why does my printed color look different from my screen?
Screens emit light, paper reflects it. Our presses are G7-calibrated so CMYK files land close, but bright RGB greens, oranges and electric blues shift the most. If a specific brand color matters, give us the Pantone number and order the free printed proof.
Turnaround and rush
How fast can you actually turn a job around?
Standard is 5–7 business days from proof approval. Rush is 2 business days for a 50% surcharge, available on cards, flyers, postcards, banners, yard signs, flat vinyl and screen printing under 250 units. Embroidery, wraps and tents cannot be rushed — the machines and the cure times set the pace.
How does rush pricing work?
A flat 50% on the product subtotal, shown as its own line before you pay. Design help and shipping are not marked up. We need print-ready art by 11am CT and a same-day proof approval to hold the two-day promise.
Can I get a printed proof before you run 2,500 cards?
Yes, and on anything over $500 we recommend it. Printed proofs are free and add two business days. We hold the press until you approve in writing.
What it costs
What are the volume pricing tiers?
Tiers start at 100 units and step at 250, 500, 1,000 and 2,500 for most print products; apparel steps at 12, 24, 48, 96 and 250. Unit cost typically drops 35–60% between the first and last tier. Tiers apply per product, not per order. Accounts over $10,000 a year get contract pricing one tier below list.
Do you offer net-30 terms?
After three completed orders, yes, on approval. Ask estimating and we will send a short credit application. ACH payers over $2,000 get a 1% discount.
Pickup and shipping
Where do I pick up, and when?
4601 S 50th St #103, Omaha. Weekdays 8am–6pm and Saturdays until 1pm. Pull into the marked curbside bay and call the number on the door. Pickup is always free; metro delivery is free over $150 and $19 below.
Do you ship outside Nebraska?
Yes — 48 states from this one plant, UPS Ground by default, freight for pallets and tents. Multi-location accounts can split one order into per-store shipments, pre-labelled so a regional manager only opens their own signage.
Files, fixes and design help
What happens to my artwork after the job?
It stays in your account as a design on file with filename, upload date, design ID and approved proof ID. Reorders skip the upload and the prepress wait. We do not use customer artwork for anything else, ever.
What if the print is wrong?
If we deviated from the approved proof, we reprint it at our cost and rush it. If the approved proof itself had a typo, we will reprint at cost — and we would rather catch it earlier, which is why prepress reads your copy even though nobody asks us to.
Can you design it for me?
Yes. The studio charges $85/hour, quoted before starting, and most single-product jobs land at one hour. Bring a sketch, a photo of your old sign, or a paragraph describing your business. Logo redraws are $145; a full brand kit is $650.
Have a deadline and a rough idea?
Send it over. We’ll quote it, flag the risks, and tell you the honest ship date.
